Anacoco Elementary is nestled in the heart of Vernon Parish, Louisiana, and serves a community known for its pride, warmth, and strong sense of togetherness. This past school year, the Louisiana Department of Education released the official School Performance Scores, and Anacoco Elementary earned a 92.1 Academic A rating. This return to the A category marks a significant rise from last year’s 85.1 and reflects seven full points of growth driven by the steady work of our students, teachers, families, community members, and stakeholders.

We are a traditional public school offering classes from Head Start through sixth grade, where every student’s story adds to what makes our school such a special place to learn and grow. Our students and staff come from a variety of backgrounds. Some have always called the piney woods of Vernon Parish home, while others have joined us from around the world. Located a few miles from Fort Polk and Toledo Bend Lake, we celebrate the diversity of our experiences, cultures, and perspectives each day.

Our parish motto, Every Student, Every Day, Whatever It Takes, guides everything we do. The teachers and staff at Anacoco Elementary are committed to creating a safe, encouraging, and engaging environment where students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
